Tuition scholarship

Application Period: Oct 25, 2017 – Feb 9, 2018

Eligibility:

• You must be enrolled full time in a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico at the time the application is submitted
• The scholarship is open to students pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM degree
• Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0, or a 4.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 5.0

Details:

• Recipients receive partial tuition covered for one academic year as posted by the financial aid office at your college or university
• Microsoft will make a one-time payment to the designated school, and amounts are not transferable to other academic institutions
• You may use the funds for tuition only – not for other costs listed on your bursar bill, such as room and board

Diversity conference scholarship

Application Period: March 1, 2018 – May 5, 2018

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be enrolled full time in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico at the time the application is submitted
• The scholarship is open to students pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field

Details:

• Recipients receive paid registration to one of the following diversity conferences
  • Tapia Conference (Sept 19 – 22, 2018 in Orlando, FL)
  • Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (Sept 26 – 28, 2018 in Houston, TX)
  • National Society of Black Engineers Conference (TBD)
  • Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Conference (Nov 7 – 11, 2018 in Cleveland, OH)
• Travel, hotel, and meal stipend in the amount of $1,200 USD
• These funds are not transferable to other individuals
